Mark your calendars now to attend this season's IGHHA Spaghetti Dinner Fund-Raiser. Good food, fun prizes and celebrity autographs, all in the name of IGH youth hockey.

The event will be held Sunday, November 30, from 1-5 p.m. at Jersey's on Concord.

Former Gopher and Wild star Darby Hendrickson, current Wild star James Sheppard and current Gopher women's team and Team USA star Gigi Marvin are already scheduled to appear, with additional celebrity appearances expected to be announced soon. The afternoon will feature scores of unique and valuable prizes (hockey equipment, event tickets, autographed hockey sweaters, etc.) that will be auctioned off and awarded as door prizes, and an outstanding spaghetti dinner. All proceeds from tickets sold go to benefit youth hockey in our community.

At the Nov. 17 meeting of the IGH Hockey Association, two open board positions and an important volunteer position were filled.

Current board member Bob Sherry vacated his position as Equipment Director to take over the vacant HAC Director opening. In his place, Tony Haas was elected at the new Equipment Director.

The vacant Treasurer position was filled by Jodi Royce after a vote of the board. Also, Tom Schwartz was appointed to the volunteer Controller position for the board, which will institute important fiscal checks and balances.

Please welcome Bob, Tony, Jodi and Tom to their new positions in service of the IGH hockey community.

New in 2008 the H.S. Teams will be spotlighting an I.G.H. youth team and player at some of their home games.  More details to follow in upcoming weeks.
